1. Keep United In The Top Two
Most Manchester United fans are probably thinking that I am being too kind to David Moyes and he should actually have to win the Premier League title. For me, Moyes has a tough season ahead of him, with an even tougher start, so to start making title demands are totally unnecessary.
Uniteds first five fixtures are Swansea, Chelsea, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Manchester City, meaning Moyes has to battle three big rivals in his first month or so. With
Manchester City having an unlimited financial backing and with
Chelsea also set to spend big, the Premier League champions are going to find it a lot harder to compete this season and will find it very challenging to retain the title unless United follow suit and spend big. If Moyes can keep United in contention for the Premier League title and make sure they continue to qualify for Europe then his first season will have been a success. When Moyes begins his second season, this time next year, hopefully United will have a stronger team and the former Everton boss will have had an impact on the squad. Whilst no one would argue if Moyes guided Manchester United to their 21st league title, realistically the competition is far too strong and fans shouldn't get their hopes of a title win up too much, at least not yet.
