Man Utd: 5 Reasons Why Van Persie Is Better Than Luis Suarez

4. Luis Suarez Is A Big Fish In A Small Pond

If you think about it, is it really any surprise that Luis Suarez is the top goalscorer in the division this season? Given Liverpool have, up until January at least, been a one-man team who have relied purely on the goals of the Uruguayan, it is easy to see why he has bagged so many. Liverpool have been shorn of strikers recently and until the acquisition of Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge in January, only had the one out-and-out striker. Who else was going to get them the goals? United on the other hand have three world-class strikers with the goals more evenly spread out through RVP (19), Wayne Rooney (11) and Javier Hernandez (8). It has been more difficult for Robin van Persie to assert his dominance as a striker in the division because at Old Trafford, goals come from all areas of the pitch. At Anfield, goals only tend to come from Luis Suarez, who has very much been a big fish in a small pond this season.
