Man Utd New Manager: 5 Players David Moyes Will Bring To Old Trafford

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvxGMzX9Iig When David Moyes first took over as Everton manager in 2002 as a sprightly 38-year old, he was determined to mould a team in his own image - young and vibrant. Though twelve years have since passed and he is now the not-so-young age of 50, he is still considered relatively youthful by today's managerial standards. At Everton, Moyes always gave youth a chance. There were no record-breaking transfer fees to be lavished on star players, and instead the club, and manager, had to make do with whatever little resources they had. A certain Wayne Rooney came through the ranks as a promising teenager and, five days prior to his 17th birthday, burst onto the world stage with that goal against Arsenal. Thanks in part to Moyes, but largely Ferguson, Rooney developed into the world class player he is today. Manchester United have been linked with Porto's 21-year old Colombian winger James Rodriguez recently and that's exactly the type of young player Moyes has gone for down the years. The only difference is the South American is valued at £35 million, so Moyes will have to spend big for a change. But in Rodriguez, and Welbeck, and Cleverley, and Jones and Smalling, Moyes will have a youthful team in his own image just like during his formative days at Goodison Park.
