Manchester United may lead the pack at the top of the Barclay's Premier League by healthy margins, and will certainly be top by Christmas Day (a good omen, given that the title has gone to the side who topped the League over Christmas in each of the past three seasons). However, they have conceded 24 times this season, and if not for the 40 goals they have plundered this term, most of them scored by Robin van Persie, they might not be sitting so pretty right now, especially given the fact that they haven't kept a single clean sheet all month. Ferguson also hasn't been able to settle on a regular goalkeeper. Spaniard David de gea made a shaky start during his first season at the club, and has found himself lose his spot to Anders Lindegaard on more than one occasion. daily mail) and unsettled in England, with his native Real Madrid potentially waiting in the wings for a surprise swoop for the youngster. Things are far from concrete at the back for United despite all the fantastic attacking play at the opposite end of the pitch. They have also been beset by injuries to key players such as Nemanja Vidic, Shinji Kagawa, Nani, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. God forbid something should happen to RVP - let us not forget that before his scintillating last season at Arsenal, he was a sick note.
