1. Ezequiel Garay - Benfica

Garay This no nonsense Argentinian is another to have been frequently linked to the Theatre of Dreams in the past few transfer windows. Many newspapers have claimed that a deal is already in place to send the Benfica player to Old Trafford this summer, with a fee of around £17 million believed to be the price on Garay€™s head. With the injuries suffered by United captain Nemanja Vidic in the past couple of seasons and the ageing of Rio Ferdinand, the Reds need to start planning for the future. Chris Smalling and Jonny Evans have proven themselves as capable understudies to Vidic and Ferdinand but the added competition of the ex-Real Madrid defender is sure to keep them on their toes. The Premier League champions will have to act fast if they want to secure their man, as rumours have been swirling that both Chelsea and Barcelona are sniffing around the Benfica man also.
