Man Utd Transfers - 5 Right-Back Alternatives To Bacary Sagna Van Gaal Should Sign

2. Seamus Coleman

Having raided Everton for Marouane Fellaini and attempted to sign Leighton Baines, could Seamus Coleman become the next Toffees star to emerge on United's transfer wishlist this summer? Coleman has just enjoyed an extremely impressive season at Goodison Park, to the extent that he was named in the PFA Team of the Year last month. A solid and composed right-back, Coleman also caught the eye with his six Premier League goals last season, emerging as one of the best attacking fullbacks in the topflight. His offensive approach to the game would certainly fit into Louis van Gaal's attacking style of play, with the Dutchman keen to instil 'Total Football' at Old Trafford from next season. Coleman was earmarked as one of David Moyes's first summer transfer targets shortly before the Scotsman lost his job, however, it remains to be seen if van Gaal shares his predecessor's interest in the Everton fullback.
