Man Utd Transfers: Updates On 10 Biggest Summer Rumours

1. Robert Lewandowski

It seems as though Robert Lewandowski is right at the very top of Sir Alex Ferguson's transfer wishlist this summer, and the Dortmund destroyer proved his worth and credentials by taking apart Real Madrid in last week's 4-1 thrashing in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, in which he scored all 4 goals. The big question is, if United to sign the Polish ace, who is also wanted by Bayern Munich, how will Ferguson make room in his striker-studded side that includes the likes of Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck? Well, the man himself recently stated:
"I can find room for anybody here as long as they have the required quality."
Well, that's that problem sorted then. The next obstacle to overcome is the protracted interest of German champions Bayern Munich, who are threatening to scupper United's hopes of landing the star. However, considering they have just signed Mario Gotze from Dortmund, it is unlikely the recently deposed German champions will sell them yet another of their star players, meaning United are now surely the favourites for Lewandowski's signature. Ferguson continued:
"I am not sure Lewandowski will be sold to Bayern now. The Dortmund fans are not going to be happy and I don't think they will sell to their main rivals."
Likelihood? It looks like United are now the favourites to sign Lewandowski and his 35 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions this season suggests he could become an Old Trafford great. He would form a lethal partnership up front alongside van Persie with Rooney playing just behind. 8/10Who do you think United will sign this season? Let us know in the comment section, below.
