Man Utd vs Arsenal - 5 Key Battles That Will Decide The Match
4. Michael Carrick vs Aaron Ramsey
Michael Carrick looks set to return from the calf problem that has kept him out of United's last two Premier League games and one of his first duties upon his comeback will be to keep Aaron Ramsey quiet. This task won't be an easy one, considering the form Ramsey has been enjoying of late. The Wales international has started adding goals to his game recently, with 11 in 17 league and cup games for Arsenal this term and 13 in 21 for club and country. As such, he will be one of the Gunner's biggest threats from midfield, but then you fail to take into account the menace of Mesut Ozil, and it will be up to Carrick to find the right balance of man-marking Ramsey and staying in position, to prevent the United midfield from getting overwhelmed. Arsenal are famously a passing team, and like to knock the ball around, which will pose a stern test to a United midfield that isn't exactly the best we've ever seen.
