Managerial Merry-Go-Round: 5 Sought After Managers

5. José Mourinho

No managerial list would be complete without the "Special One". José Mourinho is on the verge of becoming a modern day Béla Guttmann, and by that I mean a manager who does not stick around long at a club. It is no secret that José wants to return to England, and with story after story coming out that he is not wanted at Madrid, it seems almost certain that his time in the Spanish capital is all but out.

So with José likely to be looking for a job come the summer the question reamins, where will he go? Almost every club wants him, but very few can afford him. The Portuguese magician will not come cheap not just because of his salary, but because he will expect money to work with in the transfer window. You cannot blame Mourinho for these demands though, his record speaks for itself, and it can be argued he has been the most dominant manger in the world since he took over at Porto in 2002.

A trophy cabinet that could rival anyone includes domestic titles in four different countries and two Champions League trophies. In fact, since becoming a manager José has not gone a calendar year without winning some sort of trophy.

Where does this leave the out of favor Real Madrid boss? Well he will certainly have options with a return to England possible, and there is also interest from France in the form of big spending PSG. Manchester City and perhaps Chelsea seem to be the most probable destinations in England, but will Abramovich and Mourinho want to work together again? If they do manage to put differences aside, the Chelsea faithful would surely welcome the return of their king!
