There are a lot of NBA fans who dislike Kevin Durant after he threw loyalty out the window and left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the better title prospects of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

Some thought he owed it to the Thunder to stay and try for the championship with Russell Westbrook, but he almost guaranteed the Warriors the 2016-17 title by adding his talents to that of Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.

But no matter your feelings toward the guy, you can't deny the talent that has earned him the MVP trophy, multiple scoring titles and more all star appearances than you can shake a stick at.

There is no better example of this than last season. Questions were asked whether he could fit as the new guy on such a tight knit team or whether he would just disrupt the status quo and cause more problems than he solved.

KD shut up any critics he had however, hitting the ground running, emerging as a leader on the team and eventually lifting not only the NBA championship, but also the Finals MVP trophy.

Next season Durant will continue to thrive on the court with his partner in crime Steph Curry by his side, and the duo with light up the all star game together in February.
