Carmelo Anthony has seen somewhat of a fall from grace in recent years. He is no longer seen as the scoring threat he was in Denver and his first few years in New York, to the point that in ESPN's recent poll of the top 100 players in the league he ranked 64th.

The general consensus is that Melo is much better than this, and with a trade to the Houston Rockets looking inevitable at this stage, a move to Texas will see Melo reborn and return to the form that had him as one of the top scorers in the entire NBA.

Of course it will be a monster task to keep Kawhi Leonard from the starting five of the all star game, but that is how good Carmelo Anthony can be.

In Houston he will play alongside Chris Paul at point guard, and this will give Anthony almost no choice but to improve. Paul is one of the best passers in the game, and no doubt Carmelo will be licking his lips at the prospect of open three after open three.

It may seem unrealistic after Melo's play over the last few years, but next year he will turn some heads and start the all star game.
