One of the signings that forced Kevin Keegan to leave Newcastle for the second time out, as he felt his authority was being completely undermined by the presence of Dennis Wise, Tony Jimenez and Jeff Vetere in player acquisition roles above him, Xisco has been a major flop since his big money move from Deportivo. Farmed out on loan for much of his time as a Newcastle player, Xisco has failed to impress in pretty much all of those temporarily loan deals, and doesn't appear to be wanted by anyone, least alone Alan Pardew. It just remains to be seen whether Newcastle will get any money back for the Spaniard who was signed as a player with promise for the future. Goes to show Keegan was perhaps correct to walk out. And yes, I would keep Nile Ranger. He offers something different from the bench, and if he can eventually sort his attitude out, he might be a good player.
