Emmett Smith holds the record for most career rushing yards, with an incredible 18,355. This, partnered with his (still standing) record of 164 rushing TDs is definitive proof that he's one of the greatest RBs in the history of the NFL. There's no question about it.

Smith had an understated playing style that didn't aim to impress visually. He was geared toward delivering consistent results. He was gifted with incredible balance and would find yards in plays where nobody else could see them. The guy was capable of just getting it done, no matter the cost or effort involved. And he managed this for 14 seasons.
