NFL: 10 Greatest RBs Of All Time

8. Earl Campbell

Earl Campbell was a powerhouse. He was big, but he wasn't just size. Campbell also possessed incredible speed, and that (partnered with the fact that he was pretty much a brick wall on legs) - is the reason why he's often regarded as the most unstoppable, intimidating and violent runner in league history.

He very rarely encountered anyone capable of doing him any serious damage. And while he wasn't exactly as graceful as some of the other entries on this list - what more do you need out of a RB other than size, speed and grip? Campbell had all these things - finishing up his career with 9,407 rushing yards and 74 TDs.
