3. Philip Wheeler
The Miami Dolphins this off-season have possibly been the most active in terms of free agent signings, grabbing wide receiver Mike Wallace and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe to improve a team that has been mediocre for a while now. Philip Wheeler, though, could be the signing everyone starts to talk about when the season launches though. Signed for 5 years on a $26 million dollar contract with $13 million guaranteed, Philip Wheeler earned his payday and then some. Though the Oakland Raiders were horrendous last season, Philip Wheeler managed to have a great season, gathering the rest of the league's attention as well. Not bad for a man who was signed on a one-year deal for the season. Now, Wheeler commanded a great contract, and could wreck havoc on the rest of the AFC East. With Koa Misi and Ellerbe right nearby, the linebackers on the Miami Dolphins might be a lot scarier than we all could have imagined.
