Norwich 1-0 Arsenal: 5 Things Gunners Fans Learned

3. Andre Santos Is An Able Deputy

Much has been said about Kieran Gibbs' progress as a left back in recent months, but almost everyone seemed to forget that Andre Santos was right behind him in the pecking order. Andre Santos is not as speedy as the injured youngster, but he is much more composed on the ball, and is very good at passing and linking plays. He had no major mistakes in the game today, and clearly showed that he is more than capable of jumping in for Kieran Gibbs over the next couple weeks. Santos had one particularly dangerous cross into the box, and generally had a good display all around. He made it difficult for opponents to rob him of the ball, and seemed to be one of the few people who refused to accept defeat until the last minute. With Bacary Sagna set to make a comeback, Arsenal has plenty of competition and choices in the fullback positions, which can only give Arsene Wenger a pleasant headache.
