Norwich 1-0 Arsenal: 5 Things Gunners Fans Learned

4. Theo Walcott Was Sorely Missed

Theo Walcott picked up an injury over the international break, and had he not been injured, he definitely would have been used as the impact substitute over Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Theo Walcott has the ability to create havoc within minutes of arriving on the field. The Ox, on the other hand, is more of an attacking midfielder than a winger or even a finisher. When the Ox had to come off injured after just 10 minutes, it was clear that Andrei Arshavin was not the key to unlocking Norwich's defense. In the dying minutes of the second half, Walcott's pace and tenacity alone causes panic in the burned out defense, and his absence on the field today was painfully obvious as the Gunners struggled to make any meaningful impact with 10 minutes to go. His presence as an attacking threat will be missed over the next week as he recovers from a lung injury he suffered against San Marino.
