Norwich City: 5 Reasons Lee Clark Should Be Made Manager

2. He Will Be Wounded

As a result of the Hudderfield sacking, which Clark admits baffled even him (and may have had something to do with his apparent willingness to talk about other job opportunities while still in charge at Huddersfield) will have left a serious scar on the former manager. He will be wounded, and hungry to take the next opportunity that comes his way with both hands, proving to his former employers exactly what they are missing, despite their promotion under Simon Grayson. Unjustified sackings can often be the making of a manager, and if Norwich City do take the plunge and offer Clark an opportunity to prove his worth, they might well reap generous rewards thanks to his treatment at the hands of Huddersfield. One thing that is plainly clear is that Lee Clark is a passionate football man, dedicated to the game to a fanatical degree, and the added emotional effect of the Huddersfield sacking will have tuned that passion into even brighter burning ambition. He has made it clear in interviews already that his intention is to manage at the very highest level - at his beloved Newcastle United given half a chance no doubt - and both he and potential employers should certainly consider him ready to make that next big step now.
