NUFC: 10 People Who Will Get The Loudest Boos At St James Park This Season

6. Mathieu Debuchy

Mathieu Debuchy was another fan-favourite on Tyneside before he decided that he would rather take up a cosy seat on the Arsenal bench than play for Newcastle United. The Frenchman was a first-rate defender and didn't do much wrong during his time on Tyneside. He publicly praised Newcastle and although saying that he only has fond memories of his time at St James' Park, some fans won't be able to forgive the defender for jumping ship after just one full season at the club (especially now as he doesn't even get a game). Debuchy's only saving grace is the fact that he scored in the derby against Sunderland in 2013 (instantly making him a Newcastle legend) although it didn't seem to work that way for Michael Owen who is generally disliked by the majority of Geordie fans.
