Premier League: 5 Reasons This Is The Best Title Race Ever

5. Only A Few Points Separate The Top Four

When we thought about all the major league tables in Europe at the start of the season, it seemed that the Premier League was destined to be the most competitive. The driving force on that instinct was the fact that we weren€™t able to name a clear winner. At the time of writing, only three points separate fourth place Liverpool with league leaders Arsenal. A comparison of the top league in Spain, Germany, Italy and France seems to back up the notion that it€™s the EPL that is the most competitive. In La Liga fourth place Atletico Bilbao are separated from league leaders Barcelona by 13 points. It€™s a similar story in the Bundesliga where Bayern Munich are dominating matters as usual; they find themselves 12 points ahead of fourth place Borussia Dortmund. In Serie A, it€™s no surprise to see Juventus leading the way once again, fourth place Fiorentina are trailing way behind with a deficit of 13 points again. Finally Ligue 1 is much the same with PSG on top and fourth place Bordeaux 13 points behind. The point here is clear on the competitive nature of the league this season, and if this is the way title races will be in the future €“ then Premier League fans are in for a real treat.
