Premier League: The Twitter Table

1. Arsenal - 2,657,989 Followers

Account -@Arsenal Yes, it's the Gunners who top the Twitter charts with an astonishing 2.657 million followers, a mere 0.005m, or 5,000 followers ahead of bitter London rivals Chelsea Another global brand, another stupendous effort by a marketing department. They've tweeted nearly 20,000 times, and follow about 165,000 of their own followers, in contrast to Chelsea. The account is also pristinely custom-designed, and looks fantastic - easy to read, unlike the black display of the Manchester United account, and fairly obviously one flowing design The account is a reflection on their need to have a good local marketing department. Arsenal's new stadium needs to be financed, and they have much more corporate seating to sell than either Manchester United or Chelsea. The fact that there's been little money for new signings in recent years is partially due to the stadium debts, and a strong marketing department helps them make the sales they need to keep up repayments So, that concludes the list.
