Premier League Transfers: 5 January Bargains From The Top 4

5. Demba Ba

The Senegalese striker was reportedly close to making a move to Arsenal in the dying minutes of the summer transfer window, and is fully expected to leave in January after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. Whilst Arsenal may not still be interested in the former Newcastle United man, several clubs will be, and the 28-year-old seems resigned to the fact that he does not feature in Jose Mourinho's first team squad after making just seven appearances for the club in all competitions this season. The attacker could easily be available for a decent price too, whether leaving on loan or permanently, and anything under the £7 million mark would be good business for another club in the Premier League. Whilst the player has not stated outright that he wants to leave the Blues, falling behind Fernando Torres and Samuel Eto'o as the club's main strikers tells its own story, and I fully expect the Senegal international to leave in January.
