Ranking Sunderland's Premier League Home Kits - From Worst To Best

2. 1996-97

Now here's the oldest entry to the list, Sunderland's 1996-97 shirt. It marked the end of several eras, with the main two being the end of the old Sunderland badge, and the last kit to be worn at Roker Park before its demolition and the team's move across to the Stadium of Light. The red and whites stripes with red trim would be repeated again in years to come, but this was the last of a string of similarly-themed kits which ran through the 80s and 90s. The Vaux sponsor is also held dear by the Wearside locals, and the ship on the old logo will always be remembered by fans from several generations. This was a sentimental kit, but it was a good-looking one as well.
