Real Sociedad 0-0 Man Utd: 5 Key Things We Learned

3. Shinji Kagawa Plays Best In The Hole

We gave Japan ace Kagawa the man of the match award for his display last night. That's not saying much in a no score draw, but this was as industrious and threatening as he has been under Moyes in Europe. Kagawa's two first half efforts were about as much as United could muster. He then began creating; laying on what looked a certain goal for Javier Hernandez. When the Mexican and Wayne Rooney went off, he moved infield and saw more of the ball. Clearly Kagawa is most influential playing off the front. How Moyes accommodates this is another matter entirely.
