Southampton Transfers: 5 Players Saints Must Keep This Summer
2. Adam Lallana (Attacking Midfielder)
Adam Lallana is another one of those successful graduates of the Southampton youth system. The player is 25 now, so has been at the club for a number of years. That includes playing for the club is their darker times in League One and the Championship. However, certain people dont really pay attention unless you are excelling at Premier League level. Lets be honest, this season Lallana has been specular and he has done it in the league that most people consider to be the best in the world. In my opinion, he is probably the player that the club face the biggest challenge to hold onto. Some of his highlights this season include seven goals and five assists as well as an average rating of 7.29. Simply put, he is the kind of player that is always going to be in high demand at this level of football. I would also add that there is arguably within Englands midfield for such a player. Lallana has also played in a number of different roles within the midfield this season, which is obviously something that would make him attractive for potential buyers this summer. But all Southampton fans will be hoping that he is not tempted to move on.
