After having one of the meanest defences in the league throughout 2015, 2016 has told a different story. Goals have been raining down on the Palace defence, so keeping a clean sheet will do wonders for the side's fragile confidence. That was only their second in the last ten games and the fact that it came against a team like Spurs is something the players can take heart from. In truth, after Spurs threatened to run riot in the first half, the Palace defence did well to hold them at arms length in the second half and, for the last third of the game, looked relatively comfortable.
