Here's one you probably already know, given its recent publicity but it's still noteworthy. That's right the man currently in charge of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club was brought up as an avid and die-hard fan of their bitter arch-rivals Arsenal. Although he has since attempted to retract the statement by saying that he currently supports whichever team he is representing at any given time, a television appearance on morning show "Sport & Leisure" saw Sherwood say the following: "I'm an Arsenal fan as a kid (sic). My Dad still goes to the Emirates every week. I love to see them do well". Indeed, there was a rumour that Sherwood used to wear long-sleeved shirts as a player to hide an Arsenal tattoo on his arm though those rumours were never confirmed. Arsenal fans have taken a lot of joy from the fact that their arch-rival's manager was brought up as a Gunner in fact they had a large banner with imagery and wording representing this fact in their recent cup match against the Lilywhites.
