Spurs Vs Dinamo Tbilisi: 5 Things We Expect To See

Tottenham Hotspur destroyed Georgian minnows Dinamo Tbilisi in their own back yard last week, bringing back with them to White Hart Lane an obviously tenable 5-0 lead. It essentially guaranteed them a place in the group stages of the Europa League - a competition that Spurs could seriously be considered potential winners of this season, what with their new found depth of quality players. The home leg will probably be quite a low-key affair, with Spurs knowing that they barely have to perform to ensure their progression in the competition and, as a result, the likelihood of an improvement on - or repeat of - last week's result seems very unlikely. With that in mind, here are five things we expect to see when Spurs take on Dinamo Tbilisi at White Hart Lane...

5. A Much Changed Spurs

It is widely (and understandably) expected that Spurs will be hugely changed for this match - to the extent that the likes of third choice keeper and forgotten man Heurelho Gomes might even get a game. Following a 5-0 away victory at a team from Georgia, it really does go without saying that Spurs won't risk all of their top stars - especially with a crucial North London derby at the Emirates Stadium looming this coming Sunday. Youngsters such as Zeke Fryers, Kevin Stewart, Tom Carroll and Harry Kane could be in with a chance to start the match, while fringe players such as Jermain Defoe and Kyle Naughton will get the chance to prove themselves capable of a first team start amidst an influx of top quality new signings.
