Stoke vs Man City: 5 Key Battles

2. Cameron v Silva

Geoff Cameron has a task on his hand to deal with David Silva come Saturday. The defensive minded 6 foot 3 inch American will have to think fast to stop nimble Silva from playing his game. Cameron will need to make sure he doesn't get too close to Silva at risk of getting turned but can't afford to stand off the attacker. David Silva is better than most with the ball at his feet, so will be looking to get it as much as possible come Saturday. The quick footed Spaniard has the ability to play a pinpoint pass through the eye of a needle and it's probably what he'll have to do to find Sergio Aguero behind the compact Stoke City defence. Geoff Cameron on the other hand is known for his aerial ability, man marking and calm, composed style on the ball. The trait that could come in most likely on Saturday is that of his man marking prowess, he's going to have to keep track of Silva so as to not allow the Spanish international to get a run on him. If Cameron can do his job and take City's magician out of the game, Stoke may just be able to keep the Manchester side at bay.
