Legendary Trinidad and Tobago striker had a decidedly mixed career in England, but certainly enjoyed good cameo year at Sunderland. He scored scored 5 goals in half a season and generally played well en route to promotion, before riding off into the sunset after just one game (and one goal) the following year. His next destination: Southampton. John was used as part of a swap-deal for countrymen Kenwyne Jones and scored 19 teams for the Saints, before playing out the rest of his English domestic career at Bristol City, Crystal Palace, Ipswich, and Solihull Moors. He then hung up his boots and moved back home to Trinidad and Tobago, before un-retiring to sign for WASA FC (for whom he currently plays).
