The NBA Season 2015-2016: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

2. Browbeating The League

The image above isn't Anthony "The Brow" Davis in real life. It's a still of his playable character in NBA 2K15. However, that feels appropriate because the 6 ft 10 star of the New Orleans Pelicans may be the closest thing the NBA has to a living, breathing video game character. Watching Davis play is like witnessing a glitch in the Matrix. He averaged a double-double last season and dragged a struggling Pelicans team to the 8th seed in the cutthroat Western Conference. Once in the playoffs, he made a ludicrous 54% of his field goals. But merely looking at his stats doesn't do The Brow justice. He has that once-in-a-generation quality that is almost impossible to describe (but you damn sure know it when you see it). His highlight reels are stuffed to the brim with superhuman dunks and the nastiest blocks in the league and his athletic ability belies his mammoth frame. He was recently voted the player most GMs would choose to build a franchise around, beating out LeBron James and Kevin Durant in decisive fashion. Scariest of all? He's only 22, which means he's likely to be even better this year. He finished in 5th place in the most recent MVP race and his climb to the top will be thrilling to behold. Fear The Brow indeed.
