Tom Brady: 5 Possible Destinations & 5 Possible Replacements

8. Replacement: Marcus Mariota

Picking up Mariota probably would come with the idea that Belichick uses him as a temporary starter while grooming a younger quarterback. After six uneventful weeks, Mariota was benched. Ryan Tannehill took over his starting job for the Tennessee Titans and led them to the playoffs. Regardless of whether Tannehill stays a Titan, it's obvious that the former Oregon Heisman winner is not in Tennessee's future.

The talent is there. He may just need that change of scenery to unlock his full potential (having a Hall of Fame coach wouldn't hurt). Luring fellow draft-classmate Jameis Winston may seem like the more attractive option, but Mariota doesn't have his prolific interception numbers.
