Position: Defensive Midfield Club: Rennes Probable Value: £17m If Spurs could beat North London rivals, and Francophiles Arsenal to the signing of Rennes defensive midfielder M'Vila they would have a strong defensive base to their midfield that would push Scott Parker a little further up the pitch, where he could play more progressive football and not be forced to run through brick-walls for his wages every game. M'Vila is a classy deep-sitting player, and at 21 years old would represent an intelligent investment, with opportunity to increase in value, and his best years ahead of him. He would be the strong foundation that a new team could be built around, and given how many possible departures there will be at Spurs in the wake of missing out on Champions League football next year, that might be what Spurs need. Whether he joins the Spurs revolution or not, he has outgrown Rennes.
