Transfer Deadline Day: 6 Reasons We'll Never Stop Hating It

1. Jim Bloody White

Jim White Every single year without fail, we are lead through the eternally disappointing charade that is the Jim White show on Sky Sports News. He is announced as Mr Transfer Deadline Day, and his arrival at the Sky Sports building is greeted with the kind of embarrassing faux fanfare that is usually reserved for low-level WWE bouts that noone really cares about. For some reason Sky Sports have got it into their heads that we all love White, explosive, irrational outbursts and all, and that we welcome his ridiculous regime, including the fake phone calls and the near heart-attack levels of excitement at the prospect of a Wigan squad player leaving for pastures new. And so they trot it out every year, sitting him next to Natalie Sawyer, who must surely realise she is nothing but furniture with a low-cut top and we are forced to watch a trumped up pantomime character spouting garbage and pretending he is somehow alone in his €œon-the-pulseness,€ when he has a team of Sky Sports researchers hoovering up information that we all saw on Twitter ten minutes before that. Sadly, this will continue to happen as long as we're all glued to Sky Sports News as the hours tick towards zero hour, and the window slams shut. But know this, Sky powers, the viewers have nothing to do with your white haired Tazmanian devil in the hotseat €“ it's just the only way we can check whether Chelsea or Man City have stolen our favourite players yet. And we'd all rather it wasn't announced by Jim White, if it has to happen. Do you hate Transfer Deadline Day? Share your thoughts below.
