UFC: The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale - 5 Things We Learned

5. Derrick Lewis Is A Beast

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pgKD-6G3Cs His nickname is "The Black Beast" so maybe we should have known. That said, Lewis showed exactly what an animal he could be inside the octagon, knocking down Guto Innocente early, trapping him on the ground, and throwing strike after strike until the ref mercifully stopped the action. It was quick, and it was brutal. Afterwards, Lewis talked about training, and looking at Cain Velasquez as his target. The guy is, at the very least, motivated, with lofty goals. Velasquez is considered the best heavyweight by a long stretch, with cardio for days; Lewis, meanwhile, has lost a decision both times he's had to go a full 15 minutes, never mind 25. That said, Lewis is one to watch in the heavyweight division - he could definitely destroy some lower-ranked fighters, and he's a scary, scary dude. He was even scary at the post-fight press conference.
