UFC: The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale - 5 Things We Learned

4. "Truck" Looks Fantastic

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aYf_dvPhwA Coming into The Ultimate Fighter 19 finale, at middleweight, most writers, and fans, had Dhiego Lima taking the TUF title. He was a slight favourite at the bookies as well. Lima came from a family with a fighting pedigree (his brother, Douglas, is a Bellator champion), and he was one of the few bright spots on a dull season of The Ultimate Fighter. It's easy to call these things looking at them on paper. However, how things unfold in the octagon is often much, much different. Eddie "Truck" Gordan decided to show us all how overrated being the "favourite" is by punching out Dhiego Lima early in the first round in an action packed minute or so that saw him pressing Lima against the cage while outright whaling on him. It wasn't what we expected, but it was a fantastic bout, and hopefully Truck can carry this momentum into the middleweight division of the UFC.
