2. Spectacle Fights And Multi-Fight Weekends Need To End

I'm combining two things here, because I feel as though I've harped on the multi-fight day/weekend thing enough (as has most of the media), but one last time: it's just too much. Over-saturation of the fight game is not necessarily a great thing. I stumbled into the TUF 19 event, almost forgetting it was on. The shadow that UFC 175 had cast over it was large. And while a couple of solid fights to crown the TUF 19 middleweight and light heavyweight winners salvaged things, the main event ran into another issue: It wasn't competitive, and it was pure spectacle, at a time where the UFC needs to be working on the sport angle. The WWE is spectacle. Bellator marketed itself, and ran itself, as sport. The UFC has generally done a bit of a tight-rope walk, dabbling in both areas, but fights like Chael Sonnen vs. Jon Jones and Edgar vs. Penn 3 need to go the way of the DoDo. They're just names on a marquee to sell tickets. Which brings us to the main thing we learned...
