West Brom Transfers: 5 Strikers To Replace Romelu Lukaku

2. Carlton Cole

Carlton Cole The homegrown option on the list, Carlton Cole won't have to be burdened with a price tag should he fail; as a free agent he costs nothing. This relief of a potential hazardous burden, may allow him to express himself and impose his talents effectively at the Hawthorns even more than he probably would should he had been required to come for a fee (looking at you, Andy Carroll). Having looked like Crystal Palace had secured his services, other clubs may have turned their attention to other options with regards to their striking department, but as that has broken down, interests may turn out to be re-invigorated with West Brom leading the charge. He was deemed to be surplus at West Ham after a good amount of loyal service there and as that happened they had lost a player with pace, power and pace. A stay at the Hawthorns could benefit him hugely and give him a fighting chance of troubling Roy Hodgson's thinking for the World Cup.
