West Ham 1-3 Arsenal - 5 Things We Learned

2. Theo Walcott, version 2.0

Theo Walcott needs to re-sign with the Gunners. Now. He has suddenly transformed into a deadly finisher, and he is no longer profligate on the ball or wasteful in crosses and possession. He may have been a footballer without a brain a couple years ago, but he is now a player flowing with attacking venom. He has had a limited role in the team in recent weeks, as Arsene Wenger has chosen to use him as more of a impact substitute rather than letting him start over Gervinho. However, Walcott already has 4 goals to his name in the Premier League this season, and he looks more calm and tempered than ever. His superbly clinical strike against West Ham showed that he can combine his speed with the technical ability required to become a prolific goalscorer, and if Walcott chooses to stay at the Emirates into the long term future, he will have many bright days as a player in red and white.
