What If These 10 NBA Legends Were Drafted Earlier?
5. Karl Malone
Yes, the basketball player that actually wrestled in WCW. He wasn't a great wrestler but he was definetly a great basketball player. Malone is one of the greatest Power forwards in the history of basketball. He was called the mail man because he always delivers the best he can. He doesn't often get into a slump. He is a 2 time Mvp and arguably the only team that could of stop the Chicago Bulls in the 1990's. Him and John Stockton was one of the best duo's ever in the Nba history and they rarely misses any games as they were not injury prones. Malone was a legend but he wasn't a highly anticipated prospect for the teams in the Nba draft as he was only picked in the 13th pick of the draft. 11 teams must be shouting for regrets now except for one, the New York Knicks. They had the first pick and they chosed Patrick Ewing, one of the Greatest Centre in the game. Now the question is what if Malone and Ewing went to each other's opposite team. What would of happen/
Would It Have Affected His Legacy?
In Karl Malone's perspective, he was famous for his ability on him putting the ball into the bucket and the consistency to the game. However he had help, John Stockton. Another greatest passer in the 1980's and in two of them they led their team to consecutive playoff trips including a 2 straight Nba Final's. Unfortunately, they lost. In the other hand, Patrick Ewing was on his own alone carrying the team. Both of them were great but Karl Malone was better because he had help. SO, if he went to the knicks, he would have been alone fighting for the team and his stats would be better but he was on his own. 2 is always better than one. Putting too much pressure on himself wouldn't be good for the player. Look at Lebron James, he only won two titles because Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh was there to share the pressure. Malone's greatness would be better if he stayed the same road.
