Why Arsenal's World Cup Record Just Got Broken

3. John Stones (England)

John Stones, despite costing Man City an eye-watering £50 million back in 2016, has seen his place in the champions' defensive pecking order tumble behind new toy Aymeric Laporte, one-time liability Nicolás Otamendi, and a permanently crocked Vincent Kompany.

Which isn't massively promising for England. The lad clearly still has talent though, and could be a boon for the Three Lions - if he can regain the focus which made him such a breakout star for Everton.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
