Germany To Beat France On Penalties Price: 10/1 This one is most certainly a bet for the drama lovers! This tie is the pick of the round in these quarter finals, and we could easily see this being a thriller. Both France and Germany have impressed early on in this tournament, however, both struggled to overcome their second round opponents, with Germany eventually needing extra time to see off Algeria. The teams are pretty evenly matched, with Germany perhaps shading the win with their squad depth, but France have been one of the most impressive teams in the tournament to date, breezing through their group. This game will be tight, played at a frantic pace by two European teams who are used to the faster paced leagues. It's hard to pick a winner between the two on current form, and this match could quite easily go the distance, which is what we're hoping for! France should last to penalties and always find a way to be competitive, but once we get to penalties, there is only one winner! The German's are notoriously ruthless at penalties and have never lost a penalty shoot-out in a World Cup, winning four out of four. We know their aptitude at this aspect of the game all too well, of course. For once, let's cheer a German penalty win! At 10/1, it'd be hard not to.
