World Football's 12 Most Famous Insults

11. David Beckham To Spanish Linesman

During the early stages of his time as a Galactico, squeaky voiced, wouldn€™t-harm-a-fly, might-harm-Diego-Simone, David Beckham was given his marching orders for insulting a linesman.

Beckham squealed toward the linesman €œHilo de puta!€, which roughly translates as €œson of a prostitute€.

The then-England captain later apologised, saying he had no idea what it meant and had heard his teammates saying it.

Tut tut, Becks.
