10 More Star Wars Facts You Probably Knew Deep Down
9. It Doesn't Really Matter How You Pronounce Certain Star Wars Names
Star Wars fans all over the planet have often found themselves squabbling over the correct way to pronounce certain names within this galaxy far, far away.
Deep down, however, even the most passionate debaters of how to correctly say "AT-AT" or "Han" in this universe probably understand just how pointless these arguments actually are.
Who cares about the "correct" way to deliver those monikers, and names of vehicles and weapons? Not George Lucas, that's for damn sure.
FYI: When we would ask George: "Is it Chew-bah-ka or Chew-back-a?" / "Is it Lay-a or Lee-a?" / "Is it Hahn or Han (as in hand)?"- he would just shrug & didn't really care. He told us it would be pronounced in various ways in different parts of the galaxy. ?#TrueStory https://t.co/9dZ81vIxQw

Mark Hamill revealed that the creator of this game-changing franchise would often respond to the cast's questions about how to say names like Leia and Chewbacca by shrugging. Lucas simply didn't care all that much about how his actors chose to utter said words, noting how they would likely be pronounced in various ways in different parts of this galaxy.
So, the next time you find yourself bickering over whether it's "A-T A-T" or "AT AT", remember the fact you've likely known the whole time: it doesn't bloody matter.
