9 More Star Wars Subplots That Went Literally Nowhere
1. Quinlan Vos' Fate
Few ditched subplots have pained Star Wars fans more than the unsolved fate of Quinlan Vos, who first appeared in The Phantom Menace as a distinctive-yet-unnamed Mos Espa resident.
Vos' immediate popularity saw him appear in countless Legends stories and also get a fleeting mention in Revenge of the Sith.
He was featured more notably in an episode of The Clone Wars and the 2015 canon novel Dark Disciple, where he was confirmed to be a rogue Jedi Master who became corrupted while planning to kill Count Dooku.
After Dark Disciple, however, Vos disappeared, and so fans have been left to ponder whether he survived Order 66 or not.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series gave fans a breadcrumb, at least, by confirming Vos' survival as his name was found carved in Tala Durith's (Indira Varma) safehouse.
As for what happened next? That's anyone's guess, but the fact that he's been directly referenced in a recent piece of Star Wars media at least suggests he's on the minds of those in charge, and an epilogue to his story isn't entirely out of the question.
