10 Reasons To Greenlight Star Trek: Legacy NOW

2. On Demand

As with Strange New Worlds, the demand for Legacy is there now. For Paramount this is the perfect time to jump on that excitement before it dissipates. In terms of response time, by this point post-season two of Discovery, it was clear there was going to be a Pike series yet in 2024 fans are still waiting for even a yes or no.

Fans have been very vocal when it's come to exactly what they've wanted from the Star Trek Universe in the last seven years. Discovery hasn't pushed the buttons in the way producers expected even after the soft reboot in the 32nd Century, potentially a reason that it's coming to an end. Lower Decks has raced ahead thanks to it's unique formula. Strange New Worlds is now producing its third season after fans clamoured for its creation, with the choice to make it episodic proving successful.

Legacy continues to be a source of huge fan conversation and production discussion with Terry Matalas himself chomping to take the crew of the Enterprise-G into the final frontier. The sticking point is that everyone who was involved in creating the 25th Century is ready to go but the Word has still to be given.

To quote a Senator Nanclus from Star Trek VI; "There has never been a better time."

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
