10 Ships We Need To See In Star Trek: Legacy

1. NX-01

The sight of the Fleet Museum satiated many a fan's curiosity as to what happened to many of the ships from Star Trek's past.

While Picard's Stargazer, Voyager, and Defiant certainly played well in honouring the franchise's spacefaring ways, the inclusion of Archer's Enterprise did not go unnoticed.

More important than the simple inclusion was the fact that this was the refit version of the NX-01. This was never seen during the four seasons of the prequel series. A legendary Doug Drexler upgrade, the NX-01 has to be a ship that gets at least a few more frames of screen time in Legacy to flesh out what happened after season four and make its story firmly canon.

Having the NX-01 reappear prominently would bring Enterprise more into the fold and provide deserved recognition for the series. The refit sort of confirms the ship's service in the Romulan War, though that was never depicted on-screen.

One thing that might also satiate fans is a "real world" return of the ship and not just a visit to the holodeck so Riker can do some cooking!

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
