10 Star Trek Characters Who Died Off-Screen
7. Weyoun Five
Four was blasted by his own Jem'Hadar troops at the conclusion of To the Death, Six would die in the arms of Odo, hunted down by his successor, Seven would reach the end the line at the hands of Worf, while Eight would find himself on the wrong end of Garak's disrupter, bringing the Weyoun family to an ignoble end.
Perhaps the Weyoun with the most influence over the early days of the Dominion War, the fifth iteration of the Vorta overseer would first be seen in Ties of Blood and Water, returning later in the season as part of the force that took control of Deep Space Nine in Call to Arms. In total, Weyoun Five would appear 11 times across three seasons before being the victim of an off-screen transporter accident. A transporter accident that may or may not have been the work of Damar.
Now whether he was beamed somewhere utterly random or ended up in a similar situation to the unfortunate Commander Sonak in The Motion Picture is open to debate. However, the precedent of there being two clones of the same individual active at the same time was to be set in the seventh season of Deep Space Nine with Treachery, Faith and the Great River which would also help flesh out the back story of the Vorta race as a whole.
As there has never been any onscreen evidence of his remains, this Vorta may still be out there... somewhere.
