Star Trek: 10 Characters Who Got Away With Murder

7. Emperor Georgiou

Terran Empire Philippa Georgiou has killed more people than she's had hot dinners, and some of those hot dinners had Kelpien (on the menu, not at the table). In her home universe, Georgiou's full name and list of titles were as follows:

Her Most Imperial Majesty, Mother of the Fatherland, Overlord of Vulcan, Dominus of Qo'noS, Regina Andor, Philippa Georgiou Augustus Iaponius Centarius.

A few people probably died just waiting for her to get through all of that!

(Former) leader of the Terran Empire, the Mirror Universe's brutal fascist regime, which conquered, tortured, and enslaved its way across its galaxy, Emperor Georgiou's list of known crimes included the total destruction of Qo'noS, the bombardment of Talos IV, the subjugation of Betazed, and the wiping-out of Mintaka III.

By the last we saw of Georgiou, however, she had not only gotten away with murder in the Mirror Universe, but she was now lauded and applauded in the Prime. After the ex-Emperor had gone through Carl's portal in Terra Firma, Part 2, the crew of the Discovery gathered to give her a goodbye toast:

Sylvia Tilly: "[Georgiou] pretty much redefined the word badass."

You'd think that sentence would be dripping with irony, but it was sycophantically sincere.

Keyla Detmer: "Oh, and can I just add that she had the best walk. With that coat and those boots?"

Well, that's all right then! Her fashion was on point, so we'll forget about the mass murder and the genocide! Raise a glass, "To Philippa." End of episode. They'd all fallen in love with a dictator! We're all for nuance, but not when a bit of moral absolutism would do. Apparently, in the upcoming Star Trek: Section 31 Long Trek, Georgiou will "face the sins of her past." And not a moment too… late!
