Star Trek: 10 Things You Didn’t Know About The Duras Sisters

Duras Sisters Star Trek TNG DS9 Generations
Microprose

Lursa and B'Etor get very quickly namechecked in DS9's second season episode Crossover where one of the Klingons, Telok,  reveals he left the house because he didn't know what they would do next.

And although the pair never made an appearance through the looking glass, they were seen again in the DS9 comic Shards and Shadows in which Mirror Deanna Troi would kill B'Etor.

Also notable is the pair's appearance in the Generations PC game. While the main cast of the movie would return for their roles, Lursa and B'Etor would be voiced by Lani Minella who became the head of casting for Star Trek Online. In that universe, Minella would voice over 30 characters, including Lady Sirella, wife of General Martok.

The sisters would be absent from the Gameboy and Game Gear Generations: Beyond the Nexus which focused more on Kirk and Picard than the full story of the movie. Walsh and March would however add their vocals as the sisters to the Microprose game Star Trek: The Next Generation Klingon Honour Guard alongside Robert O'Reilly as Gowron and Tony Todd as Kurn. This would be the last time the pair would play Lursa and B'Etor as the game was released in 1998, four years after their demise in Generations.

A Star Trek fan from birth, I love to dive into every aspect of the franchise in front and behind the screen. There's something here that's kept me interested for the best part of four decades! Now I'm getting back into writing and using Star Trek as my first line of literary attack. If I'm not here on WhatCulture then you're more than welcome to come and take a look at my blog, Some Kind of Star Trek at http://SKoST.co.uk or maybe follow me on Twitter as @TheWarpCore. Sometimes I force myself not to talk about Star Trek.
